Corporate Planning Department Team

The Corporate Planning Department is a group that plans joint events with AIC’s sponsors, devises growth strategies and new businesses for AIC as a whole, and conducts publicity and PR activities for events and activities.

Introduction

Leader of Corporate Planning and Public Relations, Keio AIC. CEO of TLaiVisions.
Started AI research in first year of undergraduate study. Engaged in AI-powered exoskeleton research at Georgia Tech in the US in second year of undergraduate study. After returning to Japan, engaged in AI project management at Rakuten Group and Keio University. Founded TLaiVisions in 2025. Accepted for Term 16 of Softbank Academia. Awarded the Fujiwara Prize from the Keio University Faculty of Science and Technology.

What kind of activities does AIC organize?

As the head of the Corporate Planning Department, I am involved in the planning and operation of various events with our corporate sponsors as well as the formulation of AIC’s overall strategy. Specifically, we organize, hold, and publicize events such as the AIC Challenge and Career Labs, which are joint events with AIC sponsors,  and exchanges that connect Keio University alumni and current students with entrepreneurs. In addition, we are constantly experimenting with growth strategies for AIC with the aim of improving the level of satisfaction among corporate clients and Keio students who participate in our activities. We are seeking ways to expand the recognition and scale of AIC so that we can further support the development of professionals in AI and IT who will play an active role in society.

What are your activities outside of AIC?

I founded TLaiVisions in 2025 to develop and market AI products. TLaiVisions is an AI legal tech company that develops AI products for licensed professionals such as lawyers and public accountants, and financial institutions, as well as for the legal departments of local governments and companies. We provide solutions tailored to our clients’ needs in a variety of issues handled by companies that range from law firms to publicly traded companies. We also conduct research on computer vision using machine learning at the Isogawa Lab, based in the Faculty of Science and Technology’s Department of Information and Computer Science.

Could you tell us about your research?

I have been involved with AIC since AY 2023, making this my third year there. When I started out, the Corporate Planning Department had a high ratio of master’s degree students, so every day proved to be a learning experience for me as an 18-year-old. While organizing events to drive up student and sponsor satisfaction levels, I was able to have those master’s students teach me about basic work practices such as business etiquette and how to request work from colleagues. If I hadn’t met those people at the Corporate Planning Department as a second-year undergrad, I would not have had the experience of leading AI-based projects or founding an AI startup company. Given this background, I consider my activities at AIC and getting to know my colleagues there as the starting point of everything that I’m doing now in applying AI to society. By passing on my knowledge to those coming after me—namely, by maintaining the tradition of mentoring the next generation of professionals and keeping the spirit of one of Keio’s maxims, “learning while teaching, teaching while learning”—I believe I will grow into a person who can contribute to the further development of AIC.

Could you tell us about your vision for the future?

My vision is to contribute to the realization of an international social system in which humans and artificial intelligence can coexist in harmony.

Two significant experiences served as the spark for this vision.

The first is the use of AI technology in Shanghai, where I spent my childhood.

I attended the Shanghai Japanese School from the second year of elementary school to the third year of junior high school. While there, I experienced firsthand the rapid changes in Chinese society. Particularly impressive were the surveillance cameras installed throughout the city, which were effective for traffic safety and crime prevention, but also raised concerns about privacy, such as the disclosure of personal information through AI-based facial recognition technology. This experience made me realize both the benefits and challenges of AI.

The second major experience was during my senior year of high school, where I partook in a project exploring nuclear issues.

Thanks to a high school study program I had participated in, I was selected to be a “Youth Communicator for a World without Nuclear Weapons” by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and I spent a year exploring the issue of nuclear weapons. As a Youth Communicator, I held discussions with American and Russian high school students and interviewed nuclear policy experts and A-bomb survivors. There has been progress made in nuclear technology of course, as well as in its peaceful use, such as utilizing it for power generation. At the same time, through my experience exploring these issues, I learned that technology can threaten our survival, and the risk depends on the people who use it.

Therefore, due to my experience in Shanghai with the real life use of AI technology, along with my exploration of nuclear issues as a Youth Communicator for a World without Nuclear Weapons, I started to challenge myself to minimize the negative aspects of technology while maximizing the positive aspects. There was a time when I wanted to explore nuclear and security issues in university in order to become an expert in the topic.

However, I have come to believe that AI technology, as it begins to have a significant positive impact on society, can potentially replace nuclear technology in having a significant negative impact on humans. Against this background, as an AI researcher and entrepreneur concerned with the implications of science, I often ponder what is the purpose of using technology, and I wish to contribute to the realization of a society in which humans and AI can coexist, where such technology would not jeopardize human well-being.

And so as both a researcher and an entrepreneur, I will continue exploring the latest AI technologies and work to enrich people’s lives as I apply them to society, while also remaining cognizant of both their positive and negative aspects. I will continue exploring what I can do to realize this vision.
