About

The AI and Advanced Programming Consortium (AIC) is a research center within the Keio University Global Research Institute (KGRI) that provides an environment for students to take the initiative to study artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced programming.

AIC aims to foster talent who can develop their own ideas into real-world implementations using their own technologies by providing students with an environment where they can conduct practical programming using real-world data through mutual cooperation with domestic and international companies, educational and research institutions, and local governments.

Activities

AIC is engaged in various efforts to promote the use and diffusion of AI through the following means:

  1. Advanced educational activities
  2. Promotion of human resource development in collaboration with domestic and international companies, research and educational institutions, and local governments
  3. Holding study groups, lectures, seminars, contests, etc.
  4. Collaboration with industry to build joint research systems that facilitate AI research
  5. Establishment and spread of effective use of AI in both society and industry
  6. Research and preparatory measures on issues arising from the utilization of AI, from legal, ethical, and psychological perspectives
  7. Publicization of the activities and achievements of this consortium, and provision of concrete examples of effective use of AI
  8. Other activities in line with the consortium's aims
